The first geothermal studies began in the 70's with the first inventory of mineral and thermal springs. In this work the Geothermal Map of Perú is presented in order to geographically define the zones of the country where geothermal resources are located. Currently six important geothermic regions have been identified: Cajamarca \u2013 La Libertad; Callejón de Huaylas; Churín; Central; Eje Volcánico Sur and Cuzco \u2013 Puno. \n", "mapName": "Layers", "description": "", "copyrightText": "INGEMMET", "supportsDynamicLayers": true, "layers": [ { "id": 2, "name": "Evaluacion Geotermica", "parentLayerId": -1, "defaultVisibility": true, "subLayerIds": [ 3, 7, 11 ], "minScale": 0, "maxScale": 0 }, { "id": 3, "name": "Tacna Paucarani GE36c-4", "parentLayerId": 2, "defaultVisibility": true, "subLayerIds": [ 4, 5, 6 ], "minScale": 0, "maxScale": 0 }, { "id": 7, "name": "Moquegua GE38-3", "parentLayerId": 2, "defaultVisibility": true, "subLayerIds": [ 8, 9, 10 ], "minScale": 0, "maxScale": 0 }, { "id": 11, "name": "Tacna Casiri GE38-5", "parentLayerId": 2, "defaultVisibility": true, "subLayerIds": [ 12, 13, 14 ], "minScale": 0, "maxScale": 0 } ], "tables": [], "spatialReference": { "wkid": 32719, "latestWkid": 32719 }, "singleFusedMapCache": false, "initialExtent": { "xmin": -6034987.6899518855, "ymin": 3636714.183253221, "xmax": 5746438.66270281, "ymax": 1.0032652759740032E7, "spatialReference": { "wkid": 32719, "latestWkid": 32719 } }, "fullExtent": { "xmin": "NaN", "ymin": "NaN", "xmax": "NaN", "ymax": "NaN", "spatialReference": { "wkid": 32719, "latestWkid": 32719 } }, "minScale": 0, "maxScale": 0, "units": "esriMeters", "supportedImageFormatTypes": "PNG32,PNG24,PNG,JPG,DIB,TIFF,EMF,PS,PDF,GIF,SVG,SVGZ,BMP", "documentInfo": { "Title": "", "Author": "", "Comments": "Conjunto de datos que corresponden al mapa Hidrogeologico Nacional, informacion proporcionada por Jose Carlos Farfan y Vicentina Cruz de la Direccion de Geologia Ambiental, en cordinacion con el Proyecto GE38 ¨Evaluación Geotermica en el Perú¨ correo de francisco Zegarra el dia martes, 12 de mayo de 2015 04:35 p.m. Abstract Perú has a vast geothermal potential with many manifestations at the surface as hot springs, geysers, fumaroles, steam, etc., all over the country.
